Growing Tall
Garen grew a field of sunflowers this year. He enjoyed it tremendously as the "fruits of his labor" yielded much. Our climate here in the Southwest is perfect for this type of flower.
Harvesting Smiles
Instead of waiting to harvest the sunflower seeds, Garen has opted to increase his likability. He picks a few every Sunday and gives them to various ladies at church. Needless to say, he is winning the hearts of many.
Deep Orange
Because his favorite color is orange, he picked out an orange variety to grow called, Velvet Queen. It is a heirloom variety he got from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds. This is our favorite source for seeds. We highly recommend this young farmer with big dreams who finds heirloom seeds from all over the world.
