Transcript of Video
Bree: In the previous episode, we completed the soil cement subfloor in the basement of the underground earth bag MusArt Studio.
Gary: Looking forward to getting the instruments down here and some recording equipment, do a video. And of course, the dog shows up on que.
Bree: We are posting a short video as it is a few days before Christmas and we are celebrating with our family as i'm sure you are too. We will be back with the normal weekly Peek next Friday. Before we celebrate, we need to cut down some good tree limbs to replace the temporary post for the entry way of the studio.
Gary: The great thing about today is we get to cut down branches out of this tree which means we are getting rid of the mistletoe, we are going to take some of the longer branches and use them as post for the MusArt Studio and we are going to use the balance for firewood.
Bree: In keeping with the Christmas Spirit, we found some mistletoe, but we will not be hanging it in the dooway.
Shelly: The goats absolutely love the mistletoe. we feed it to themas we pull it down. We were told it is poisonous to them but ah...
Gary: The mistletoe we are talking about isn't the same mistletoe you see like in the movies and stuff. It is nothing like that. They call it mistletoe so,
Shelly: It is more like a desert mistletoe.
Gary: And the Desert Mistletoe doesn't work when you put it above a door or something like that. It doesn't work.
Shelly: It doesn"t?
Gary: No.
Shelly: The problem with the mistletoe is it is in the trunk of the tree and starts to make it very bulbous. And when we get big winds through here, that's where our tree will break off. And that particular tree is over the house.
Gary: So, to protect the house, I will cut it down.
Shelly: We will really miss it come summertime because it provides a lot of shade.
Gary: This could be one of our post.
Shelly: Eventually, if the trees are left alone...a lot of them are around here on different properties, on our property, we don't get to all of them. It will infest that tree and completely take it down.
Bryson: Do you think that is enough for them Mom?
Shelly: I think so. We took one all the way down, to the base, which was interesting it is growing back and looks like a big bush. it is healthy now again.
Shae: My childhood is decaying with this floor. That is not what floor should do.
Shelly: Shae decides to take down the tree fort since it is starting to fall apart.
Bree: This is huge.
Shelly: What about your tire swing coming down? Are you ok with that?
Bree: everybody who visits us, goes and plays on the tire swing. So...
Gary: Tire swing ready!
(Crash)
Gary: Tire swing not ready!
Shelly: What is that called, Cheaper by the dozen?
Gary: Ya. Cheaper by the dozen.
Shelly: We have seen that movie quite a few times.
Gary: Number 2. Ya.
Bree: Ya Were're going to have to find another place to put it up. I don't know. Maybe we can put it on that tree or something?
Shelly: On the one that Shae is taking down the fort?
Bree: Ya.
Shelly: Ok. Good job guys. Good job Shae.
Shelly: You know, make sure that the line is correct on the courtyard.
Bree: What do you mean by a line?
Shelly: I just put my arm like this. We got down with your house, the yard is cleaned up to that point. That point to that point. Now we have to go all the way to this house now. It has to be clean from here over. The line.
Gary: We are at the Pile of Potential Post.
Gary: You want to help me pull this out?
Bryson: Ya. WHoaag WHoooahhh
Gary: What do you think of these two huh? This one and that one. How fun.
Bryson: It is a root.
Gary: 103. How do you like that?
Bryson: I love that. it looks beautiful.
Gary: What's nice about this is that, I don't have to plumb the post. I'll get this.
Bryson: Ya. No problem.
Gary: It kind of bows out that way, it would be nice to have them going the same direction.
Bryson: A lag bolt, you know.
Bree: stay tune for next time as we begin building the ceiling for the basement or the floor for the first floor. We posted the third part of the Christmas series. We will be posting the full version on Christmas day. If you would like to see them all again in sequence, you are welcome to check that out as well. We will see you next time and have a very Merry Christmas.
Bryson: So, we have Garen with us, except I think he is a little shorter than me, so... There we go. All right. Wait, wait...I feel much better now.
Shae: Whatever helps you sleep at night.
Bree: One, Two, Three...
All: Merry Christmas!
