Roof Sheeting Complete & a Trip to Florida
While Dad, Mom and Shae went off to Florida, the rest of the crew set to work on the roofing. The building looks amazing with the sheeting on! In Florida, Mom and Dad enjoy the beaches and the animals! We hope you enjoy this video and we will see you next week!

last week we located and connected the
gray water pipe for the new bathroom
sink and shower
the guys finished the
rafters for the kitchen roof as we
continued the add-ons to the main house
?
Mom, Dad and Shae are down in Florida so
we are going to get this roof up in
their absence
we got Ellie and Garen
to help us make the project happen
it's gonna be awesome
it's gonna be sweet
every time I go to film you Ellie there's a
board in the way
oh that's good
so
what are we up to today?
we are
putting the sheeting on the roof
without parental supervision
pick up the slack
darn them going to
Florida partying anyway
Gizzy's
trying to figure out a way down
yeah he's hoping we'll be his elevator

what do we have in our hotel room?
I
thought it was a spider
his little eyes look -

we found this little guy
he's a Fiddler Crab

I have no idea where to put oil in this thing

we are in Florida
we're on South 39
going
somewhere out of Tampa
we wanted to
find out how far we had to go outside of
the city to find farm lands
a lot different - they have these things called
trees and lots of them
it's just like
massive trees everywhere
we want to
prove that they have cows in Florida

we haven't found cattle
but we're sure that -
or an alligator
alligator'd be cool
lots of grass here for
cattle so it's gonna happen
you feel it
there's a farm
and it really wasn't far
we are probably 20-30 miles out and we
found all kinds of farmland
we're out here with cows and these are cows like
in Florida
so you see they'll have like a little
flower in their ear there and they're
all holding some kind of tropical drink
mooooo
happy - lots of green things to eat
it's just beautiful
Longhorns and Jerseys and looks like some Angus out there
Black Angus
very very
healthy very happy happy cows
yeah
lots
of green everywhere
we have a bet going
on about how much wood we're going to
use because it just seems like a lot of
wood that was purchased
I have a bet
we're only gonna use 2/3 of the wood
only 2/3 of it?
maybe not

of it?

the bet is that we are only gonna use

all right, I'm gonna bet
we use the majority of it or do I have

freedom of an open-ended bet that I'm

heading into St. Petersburg
just a few miles in and we're back on
the highways
everything's
really pretty flat there
one of my favorite things is going over these bridges here in the
Tampa area
it's like you sit level with the water
so beautiful
it's real pretty
I imagine digging
a well there would be real easy
ten feet down and he got water

I forgot that it's not just me on
the roof so -
no mistakes
we're out here in the waves
it's kind of fun
to be out here and
relaxing a little bit
every day it's like you carry your
swimsuit around with you just in
case some water shows up and you just
jump in and start swimming
of course unless there's alligators
the Bayside was so nice
beaches everywhere and so we could just pop into
any beach and slip in for a quick
swim
it was really cool
and being from
Oregon, you would never go swimming out in the Oregon ocean
you get up to your knees and it's 49 degrees
freeze to death
it's freezing and it's
dangerous and we just never did it as
kid
it was my first experience going out
into the salt water where there
waves and it was really enjoyable
the water was like
80 some degree water
it's
warmer in the water than being on the
beach itself

that whole 3 feet that that was thrown

all right guys, what's
our dilemma?
these are too big of gaps to
put the board's on otherwise they'll
just sag
that's our dilemma and Dad said he had a plan for this
so I
think we're just gonna wait for him to
get home to put these in
we got all that done
it goes all the way around the other
side
stacking up and finishing up now
I
better go help them
we wanted to do one
touristy thing
yes - we went on this thing
called the Dolphin Racer
it was phenomenal
first of all, its this great big old
longboat
a ton of chairs in it and the
captain was entertaining
this boat
produced such a large wake, driving it
attracted the dolphins to want to ride
the wave
they guaranteed that you would
see these
they just loved that really
large wake that this boat created
we were supposed to yell when they
breached so they could hear our voices and
see our faces
these were Bottlenose
they
have really good vision out of the
water
probably come up to get a look
at us you know and they come in on their
side
they are very curious creatures so when they
would hop up, if you looked funny, they
would hop up just to see you again - to
get a better look at you
what if we wore
a dolphin head?
woah
?
Ellie and Garen and you - all three of you,
did a fabulous job
it was this beautiful
well-oiled machine
did a really good job
awesome
yesterday the guy's got it in
it looks so great
they stopped at this
section here so we need to put in these
jack rafters but right now, I think I'm
gonna go ahead and put and the plywood
and put the jack rafters in later
you guys
did great yesterday
we thought we were
stopped but then apparently we could
have continued so - but oh well
it's a little bit left so I'll help Dad out
finish her up

day at the beach
we had dinner at this
place called the Hurricane
you know you
could be out of hurricane in a hurricane
and then we got back home and the roof is
just fantastic
and you and Bryson put
up the rest of it
and it's looking good
yeah, it looks great

I just want to point out that we did
indeed use the majority of the wood
did we not Bryson?

I think my bet
of two-thirds
was good
pretty good
maybe closer to Ellie's though
it was a close draw

I think a
successful bet of winning absolutely
nothing but the sheer pride of winning
and a roof on is truly the prize
