Transcript of Video

Bree: In the previous episode, we installed the downstairs ceiling and the upstairs floor in the underground earth bag MusArt Studio.
Bree: This week, it's time for windows and doors. But, first we have a confession. We are secretly filling in the outside of this for when we come out and do stucco. SHHHH. don't tell anyone.
Gary: Alright.
Bryson: The trim for the window. We've got the windows and the door. we are all good. That should be everything.
Shelly:
Bree: You know I do like this door here. It is growing on me. It's airy. I kind of like it.
Gary: Threshold.
Bryson: Threshold. We are putting in the threshold. It is going to made out of cement. Then we are going to put in the board to hold it in there. That should work.
Bryson: Good boy. Good boy. This is my new dogs paw. My dog is Bullet. He is right over there.
Bryson: This is Bullet. He's my new dog. He's a good dog.
Gary: We put a piece of flashing to Separate the dirt from the wood. Why not protect against that you know.
Gary: It's time to get those windows in.
Bryson: We are excited
Gary" Yes we are.
Bryson: It is interesting with the bag building as you tamp the bags down...the frames need to be dead level. Either nail them or level them in as you go. As you put the those bags, tamp those bags in, your farm can shift around a little bit.
Shelly: You're back.
Bree: Yes. I found shoes. For my Pinocchio (Costume) They fit inside my other shoes. They are going to be very comfortable as I walk around all day. (Singing) We wish upon a star.
Bryson: There is a crack in it. It's got double pane so... Double pane because we have to take it back and forth.
Bree: I was just going to say pane....You're such a pain Bryson.
Bryson: Putting some trim around the windows. Beauty beauty. They are all don and cut to size.
Bree: We were out enjoying our cobbing session
Shae: Singing as usual.
Bree: Laughing.
Shae: Enjoying each others company
Bree: And then Bryson joins us and then and our wonderful little session turned into an argument about measurements.
Bree: You treated here like she did not know anything, so i will respond. What is that ...even...
Shae: [mocking Brysons voice}"I know all sorts of measurements because i work in..you know...stuff" and i'm like ah aha ....
Bree: Do you know what a cubit is? no but I know what a cupid is...
Shae: D"Do you know what a centimeter is?...(Mocking voice) No Bryson. I don't know what a centimeter is. But in the end...I won. because he did not know what a cubit was.
Bryson: She did not know what a cubit was...
Shae: A cubit is from your elbow to your middle finger tip.
Bree: I wanted us to move on to other things. I can ace a lot of things but measurements aren't one of them so..We were outside my field of expertise.
Gary: Move over there a little bit.
Bryson: the doors are really a sensitive thing. If you are a centimeter off....and it is off. They are difficult to get right.
Gary: Set it on level ground and get the index plumb and the other two sides will take care of themselves. It's a square hole or a rectangular hole. That's what we are looking for. Get one corner at a 90 degrees and the rest of it flys. We have a problem with the plumb, it is tilted in. It became pushed in. We need to "Unpush it" by cutting off a little bit so I can get the door. On a double door, it is more complicated. It is six foot. you don't have one reveal ... the separation between doors or the jamb and the door. We want that to be even all the way around.
Bryson: Wups...At least it's in there right?
Gary: It looks really good.
Shelly the family got a chance to go up last week and visit Garen at the ski resort he's been working at.It was really a lot of fun to see the environs, went he is in and see...his apartment and were he is working. Garen had given them free passes so they all got to go skiing for the whole day.
Gary: Bryson got a chance to try out Garens' ski bike. That was a lot of fun. It takes a lot of work. he spent most of his time. I think he only snowboarded a little bit. He spent most of his time on the ski bike.
Bree: We don't look very cool going down this way with skates mom.
Shelly: That's ok
Bree: It's not very flattering.
Gary: Ski skates
Shelly: Ski skates. that's what the girls like to do.
Gary: just before got there Garen had won the annual snow shovel race.
Announcer: This is his first ti,e shovel racing. And when asked why he should shovel race, he said, " Elle talked me into it."
Announcer 2: 58 miles per hour.
Gary: 58 miles an hour i believe...oh my gosh.
Shelly: At least we raised him with a lot of good sense.
Gary: To win. He did really good. He had fun
Shelly: He got a little plaque and some prize money.
Gary: Pretty cool.
Shelly: What a great opportunity to go up and do this. we're excited to get him back home. He is going to come back in the next month or so.
Gary: Yup. the snow starts melting off up there.
Bryson: So...our door is finished. It now opens, Shuts and locks. It feels good to complete it.
Shae: Well: our project is a little bigger than expected.we will have to finish the stucco next time.
Bryson: we got our door in and our windows in with the exception of that one window. We have to fid some time to go up and pick up the other one and drop that one off.
Gary: It's time to get to town to put that last window in.
Bree: Stay tuned for next time when we continue building on the earth bag MusArt Studio. We are now doing a lifestream Podcast every wednesday evening at 6 pm Pacific time. Dan, a certified Aquaponics Designer will be joining us for the next one. We are excited to have him with us. We hope you can join us. Have a nice week.
All: Thank you.
She: Please consider supporting us on Patreon.
Bryson: You don't get it. I 3D printed it and he looks good.
Shelly: and where can we go look at it.
Bryson: If you want to look at it, you can check it out on my channel. It will be out today.
Gary: 4 Windows on 2 doors
Bryson: 4 windows and 2 doors. we had to go even numbers this time.
Gary: Is that 6 windows?
Bryson: Actually that is 12 panes.
Gary: 12 window panes.
Bryson: Because they are each double paned.
Shae: Our family moved from the city to the country. Thanks for taking part in our adventure.
We have new videos every Friday evening. If you’d like to help us out, you can like this video, share it, subscribe or support us on Patreon. See the links in the description.
{Funny Looks}
Gary: a summit comes in 40 foot wave come in
Bryson: with that metal down there, it will protect it and keep everyone dry inside.
Gary: Yup. Get your swim trunks on, we going to go swimming. We are surfing Wave board.....
